§ 418-2. Depositing of coins; hours.

  • Commencing on the 15th day of May and continuing through the last Sunday in October of each year, it shall be unlawful for the owner or operator of a vehicle to cause, allow, permit or suffer any such vehicle to remain in a parking space provided with a parking meter or, in those areas where a centralized payment station has been installed, falling within the coverage area of the centralized payment station, west of Central Avenue between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., inclusive, and east of Central Avenue between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m., inclusive, without first having deposited the requisite coin or coins in the meter or without first having paid the requisite fee at the centralized payment station. No vehicle shall be permitted to remain in a parking space during said hours beyond the period of time covered by the deposit of said coin or coins. This section shall be applicable to all metered parking spaces within the City limits of the City of North Wildwood. Nothing in this section shall be deemed to apply to any parking space provided within any of the City parking lots that are referred to in § 418-82, as supplemented and amended.
