It is the purpose of this chapter to promote and protect the
public health, safety and general welfare of the residents of the
City of North Wildwood by adopting regulatory standards for the planting,
maintenance and removal of trees, shrubs, and other plants within
the City, in accordance with the City's Community Forestry management
plan and the City's Public Lands Vegetation management plan.
Both the Community Forestry and Public Lands Vegetation management
plans were adopted by Mayor and Council on March 17, 2015, and later
approved by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection,
and the Community Forestry management plan is being funded by monetary
assistance through a Green Communities grant.
