§ 232-13.1. Memorial pavers.

  • The City of North Wildwood shall permit memorial pavers to remember individuals and families through a memorial paver program. Memorial pavers shall be placed according to the following regulations:
    A. 
    The fee for a brick paver four inches by eight inches, including engraving and installation, shall be $100.
    B. 
    The fee for a brick paver eight inches by eight inches, including engraving and installation, shall be $225.
    C. 
    In addition to text on each brick paver, certain symbols may be added for $5 each.
    D. 
    Applications shall be obtained from, and after completion, returned to the Department of Buildings, Parks and Grounds. Applications for specific locations shall be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
    E. 
    Upon receipt of application and correct fee, the Department of Buildings, Parks and Grounds shall coordinate preparation and installation of each paver, and keep a record of the location of each paver and date of installation.
    F. 
    Pavers shall be of a size, style and material as determined by the City of North Wildwood.
    G. 
    The City of North Wildwood shall not be responsible for the replacement of pavers that have been damaged or destroyed due to vandalism or natural occurrences such as fire or hurricane. Applicants shall be responsible for replacement of damaged or destroyed pavers at their own expense.
    H. 
    The memorial paver program may include locations at the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse and North Wildwood City Hall.
