§ 3-13. Submission of appointees to Council.

  • The Mayor shall submit all appointments to the Council President no later than seven calendar days prior to a Council meeting. Upon receipt of an appointment from the Mayor, the Council President shall direct the City Clerk to draft a resolution for consideration by Council at the next Council meeting. Wherever possible and subject to the privacy provisions of the Open Public Records Act (N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.), supporting documentation, such as a job application and work history, should be attached to said resolution. Any resolution that is to be considered at a Council meeting pursuant to this section must be submitted to all members of Council no later than 12:00 Noon on the fourth calendar day next preceding the meeting.
